The Position

• On offer is a position in the UKIE RWE Center of Excellence that will have high visibility in the Boehringer organisation as a real world study operations expert. This is an opportunity to deliver high quality UK/Ireland-focused real world evidence for key products in the Boehringer pipeline.

• The position will interface deeply with members of the medical team, and other functions including contracting and purchasing, IT systems, HEOR, Value and Outcomes, Health Systems Engagement, and Patient Engagement.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Lead successful implementation of epidemiological and real world evidence studies that demonstrate the value of therapies in our pipeline, drive health systems transformation and practice change, and set our pipeline launches for success

• Function as the guardian of the study design, approval and implementation processes

• Takes a prominent role in the organisation as a recognised authority on evidence delivery, collaborating cross functionally to implement high quality real world evidence strategies aligned with the brand plans

• Explores opportunities to enhance study implementation

• Forms a key part of process quality assurance related to the delivery of evidence, including developing, enforcing and enhancing SOPs, providing expert advice and training on real world study processes, and fostering a growth and development mindset in the organisation

Requirements

• Academic qualifications related to project management, epidemiology and/or real world evidence data

• Proven strong practical knowledge of real world data (especially data sources in the UK and Ireland), study implementation, and project management of scientific research

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry across multiple phases of development and close familiarity with variations in evidence needs across the drug development life cycle

• Fluency in English (writing, reading, speaking), including confidence and engaging manner in presentation

• Effective collaboration and strategic working style, with respect for cultural norms, gender identity, and neurodiversity

• Ambitious with career plans, able to work effectively under pressure as demonstrated by successful leadership delivering epidemiological studies from conceptualisation to publication
