YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

  • With over 10,000 employees in the UK alone, 67,000 globally, you will join a growing team of dedicated Project, Design and Commercial Managers, who work together to deliver projects across breadth of clients in every sector with a focus on net zero.

  • This team’s current projects range from major highways, central government, high speed rail and light rail, urban infrastructure, civils, energy, flood, water, wind, carbon capture, nuclear, defence and large-scale utilities projects.

  • We are looking for a senior professional to support our strategy for growth and expansion. You will have experience of client management, leadership, successful delivery and work winning.

  • You will work closely with major clients, multi-discipline teams and our functional leadership team comprising project management, programme management, design management, risk and value, PMO solutions, cost and carbon management, planning, scheduling and information management.

  • As well as being focussed on people management, people leadership, business development and growth, we thrive on a seller doer model, and a balance of leadership and project delivery. You will develop internal and external relationships and expand our project management offering and awareness through all appropriate channels.

YOUR TEAM

You will be part of our wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), made up of over 400 people across the UK and sit within our Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Have experience in ideally both the nuclear and transportation sectors

  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, including cost management and budget forecasting

  • Understand the importance of resource management and forecasting

  • Demonstrate experience of managing NEC contracts and overseeing change management implementation

  • Display and have a proven track record in strong client management and effective communication skills

  • Experience of building and maintaining high performing teams while also helping in the development of high potential team members

  • Are driven and passionate about making a difference to your career and creating a positive impact on our planet within civil infrastructure and construction discipline.

  • Are not afraid to challenge the status quo, to try innovative solutions and learn from past experiences.

  • Can demonstrate your ability to be client, mission and task focussed to capitalise on opportunity for growth and consistently deliver projects to high standards against demanding KPIs.

  • Are a member of a professional institution. Hold a degree, or similar higher education qualification.

  • Demonstrate a commercial awareness and have the ability to communicate with purpose, lead a small team, take line management responsibilities and act with professionalism and authority.

  • Degree in relevant technical discipline (civil engineering, project or construction management) or Equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant project experience

  • Membership of appropriate professional institution such as: Association of Project Managers (APM), Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Member of Chartered Institute of Building (MCCIOB), Member Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Member Association for Project Management (MAPM), Member Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE)

  • NEC3/4EEC Project Manager accreditation, but not essential for the role.
