UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Technical Threat Analyst with experience reviewing Firewall System Security and Design for a remote position in Brooklyn, NY. Candidates must reside in the EST time zone and have a LinkedIn account.

Position: The Cyber Security Technical Threat Analyst will be responsible for complete cyber security for a NextGen 911 project and should have extensive experience with firewalls including next-generation firewalls, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating security risks/threats, and recommending prevention designs.

    MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 8 years of experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems and Tools.

  • Extensive experience performing Cyber and Technical Threat Analyses.

  • Extensive experience analyzing firewall system security including next-generation firewalls, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating security risks/threats, and

  • Familiarity with Security Regulations and Standards.

  • Experience with the following:

  • Monitoring and responding to malicious activity and performing cybersecurity investigations.

  • Performing technical and forensic investigations.

  • Creating playbook for security events.

  • Analyzing Firewall System Security, system services, operating systems, networks, and applications to address possible cyber-attacks.

  • Automating processes leveraging scripts (Python, batch, etc.)

  • Running reports to gather data from SQL databases (SQL).

  • Creating SIEM dashboards to help visualize data and events.

  • Responding and resolving basic operational technical Incidents and Requests

    SCOPE OF SERVICES:

  • Review firewall system security and vulnerability design.

  • Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and business requirements.

  • Analyze appropriate security assurance levels.

  • Evaluate security policy and next-generation threats.

  • Analyze and recommend prevention designs, SSL encryption/decryption strategies, vulnerability protection profiles, content filtering and perimeter security controls.

  • Analyze potential impact of new threats and exploits, develop, and implement expert firewall solutions to mitigate those threats.

  • Analyze risks to critical applications and recommend security controls.

  • Communicate risks to relevant business units.
