Are you a Release Engineer seeking the next step in your career or a Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer who has in an interest in tooling and processes? We're hiring x2 Release Engineers to work alongside experienced software developers and testers on the next generation of tools used in the development and testing of Siemens software. Based out of our vibrant offices in Cambridge or Sheffield, you could be working within a team as part of a larger project, or more autonomously on a smaller area accompanied by guidance and coaching from your manager and colleagues around you.

You'll create impact by:

  • Working on projects relating to tools and automation to improve developer efficiency and quality.

  • Developing your knowledge across a range of scripting and programming languages.

  • Learning about hardware virtualization and continuous development in a commercial environment.

  • Gaining experience with our build, software development and testing processes.

  • Being involved in all aspects of delivering quality software to customers.

  • Supporting a global software development and quality team.

  • Designing next generation cloud-based applications to validate code quality.

  • Enhancements to existing techniques for developing and testing software.

  • Investigating and prototyping new tooling and processes.

  • Developing Visual Studio Code extensions to support development activities.

  • Implementation of GitLab workflows for CI/CD

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

  • Source control tools such as Git and GitLab

  • Cloud and Virtualization technology

  • Programming in languages such as Python and Go
