The role encompasses the following core responsibilities:

  • Represent AM Investments on regulatory change projects led by our Regulatory Management team; this includes:

 identifying impacts to and requirements for Investments staff, processes and technology

 ensuring proper engagement of impacted stakeholders to agree 1) regulatory solution design that is both compliant and efficient and 2) post-implementation responsibilities and support model

 ensuring Investments preparedness , including coordinating / implementing required process and procedure updates, training input, governance oversight, etc.

  • Support and/ or drive other strategic change initiatives as assigned; ensure the preparedness and engagement of Investments stakeholders (impact assessment, requirements, process and procedure, and training) as change projects are implemented

  • Coordinate/ support the operational risk control assessment process, working with Functional Business Manager and Investments colleagues across asset classes

  • Support internal audits

  • Support the remediation of operational risk issues and associated projects

  • Identify and drive process efficiencies, simplification efforts and control improvements

  • Maintain concise communications detailing the scope, progress and results of initiatives underway

  • Facilitate required working group and oversight forums to drive and track action

  • Work with the Functional Business Managers across asset classes to ensure comprehensive Supervision procedural documentation

  • Conduct business analysis and prepare MIS/ dashboard information views as requested (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Tableau skills a plus)

  • Establish collaborative relationships with business partner functions, including Business Risk Management, Chief Operating Office, Compliance & Operational Risk, Regulatory Management, Product Management, Operations, Technology, etc. to maximize efficiency in the role

Your team:

You will be part of the Investments Business Management team within our Asset Management organization supporting the Investments business area globally. This team provides problem solving, analytical and strategic business support across various functions, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation while driving key initiatives forward. In addition to the cross-asset class Governance and Change function, your Investments Business Management colleagues are functional business managers who are aligned to support the daily operation of specific asset classes, i.e. Active Equities, Fixed Income, Systematic & Index, Investment Solutions, Trading, and our hedge fund. Our team members are located in Chicago, London and Hong Kong.

Your expertise:

You have:

–a university degree

–solid understanding of the asset management industry, and preferably also of the front, middle and back office workflow

–5+ years of experience providing business-related services and support in a large financial services or consulting organization

–experience working on compliance or regulatory projects preferred

–demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; strong project management skills

–demonstrated success in identifying root causes and areas for process improvement

–a proven track record of being action-oriented; known for ability to execute

–strong analytical skills and experience, including preferably with management information tools such as Excel, Database, SharePoint, Tableau

–Emotional intelligence in addition to technical skills
