Robert Half Financial Analyst in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Dallas, Texas, for a Sr. Financial Analyst. Remote with occasional in office days. The role will involve reviewing financial statements for properties, projecting actuals vs. budget forecasts, and collaborating with the asset management department. The Sr. Financial Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring the financial health of properties for a six-month period post-acquisition, and providing regular updates to the management.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze financial statements for multiple properties.

• Develop and implement strategies for comparing actual operating results with estimated numbers in the proforma.

• Monitor the financial health of properties for a six-month period post-acquisition.

• Regularly update management on the financial status of properties.

• Prepare and review financial forecasts and statements.

• Work closely with the acquisitions team to review financials and verify numbers in the proforma for acquisitions.

• Actively engage in financial forecasting and future forecasting of property financials, taking into account historical expenses.

• Participate in the creation of budgets.

• Review and analyze actual cost vs. insurance payout for insurance claims.

• Be proactive in reviewing financials and identifying issues early on.

• Use advanced Excel skills and tools such as index match, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPS to perform financial analysis tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sr. Financial Analyst with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

• Yardi Voyager

• Strong knowledge of CapEx and finance principles.

• Demonstrable ability to identify variance, perform variance analysis and provide variance explanations.

• Proven skills in analyzing, reviewing, and creating pro forma financial statements.

• Experience with commercial and private real estate investment, acquisitions, and accounting.

• Familiarity with real estate assets and property management software such as Yardi Voyager and RealPage.

• Proficiency in Excel formulas is a must.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
