Ametek Inc. Technical Support Field Specialist in Depew, New York

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers for all Reichert products
  • Lead department's day-to-day functions
  • Respond to escalated customer issues and build positive relationships
  • Utilize MRP and Complaint systems for documenting product returns, complaints, and acquiring manufacturing information.
  • Prioritize, escalate, and resolve support incidents to appropriate teams.
  • Ensure the ticketing and documentation process is adhered to for all support incidents
  • Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers, and facilitate organic growth.
  • Attend product meetings and work with product teams to improve instrument quality as needed.
  • Communicate all new information related to products, procedures, and trends.with team
  • Update, Reichert manuals using InDesign and Word.
  • Perform dealer training and travel to dealers, doctor's office, and trade shows as needed.


Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a technical background in mechanical, electrical or software experience.
  • Customer Focus
  • Strong Communication .
  • Experience with Call Center best industry practices.
  • Background and working knowledge of Ophthalmic Instrumentation. (Preferred)
  • Experience with serial communication and knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems. (Preferred)
  • Mechanical and electronic repair experience to enable repair of Reichert products as needed.
  • Experience with TeamViewer or equivalent remote access to software is a plus.
  • Ability to travel for support of Reichert products (15%).


Compensation

Salary Minimum: $50, 000

Salary Maximum: $70, 000
