Job Description

This position is responsible for the delivery of our UK Payroll / Benefit services in accordance with Company Service Level Agreements that will ensure accuracy and timeliness as well as full compliance with legislation, company policy and control procedures. The position requires the ability to continuously look to improve the efficiency of day-to-day operations through work process improvements.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership and management of the monthly payroll process for 2 separate payrolls. Liaising with our outsourced Payroll Vendor.

  • Complete the monthly input and reconciliation process to ensure that payrolls are adequately checked eachmonth and variances are corrected in a timely manner.

  • Ensure all monthly and annual reporting is completed in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance and control risk within the Payroll function by continuous review of payroll procedures and conducting a self-audit on the monthly payroll.

  • Monitoring MyHR tickets/Mailbox to ensure SLA timeframe is met.

  • Working with internal and external auditors as required.

  • Managing our core employee benefits e.g. healthcare, pension.

  • Working as part of our Payroll/Benefits Team and providing back up cover for absences within the wider European Payroll Team.

  • Identifying areas for improvement from a technical / administrative perspective.

Essential experience

  • 3 plus years of UK payroll experience.

  • Awareness of statutory legislation, taxation and procedures relating to payroll and benefits.

  • CIPP qualification desirable.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters.

  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite particularly Excel.

  • Knowledge of Workday will be a distinct advantage.

  • Experience in working with an outsourced payroll provider will be an advantage.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.

  • Excellent knowledge of English written and oral. Excellent communication skills required to manage internal and external relationships.

  • Knowledge of other European payrolls will be an advantage.

  • Flexibility and a willingness to adjust responsibilities to align with developing business needs.

  • Ability to work under pressure, fast-changing priorities and to meet deadlines.

  • Appropriately identify and manage risks, in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and internal policies and escalate on time.

  • The ability to work well within a team, motivate and empower others.

  • Resilience and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment to deliver results with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
