Citigroup Triparty Settlement Analyst- Hybrid in Getzville, New York

Triparty Settlement Analyst is a role within Market Operations supporting Cash Securities and facilitating timely settlement and allocation of triparty trades. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the settlement, allocation, and investigation of triparty trades while providing best in class customer service. Analyst will be expected to handle escalations for settlement issues, demonstrate strong break/fail resolution skills to maintain or improve daily scorecard metrics. This is a highly dynamic role in a fast-paced environment where the analyst is required to adapt to the changing needs of our internal and external clients. Teamwork is an essential aspect of this role as well building and maintaining good relationships within the team and with other internal Citi teams. This role identifies policy and applies specialty knowledge in monitoring and assessing processes and data and encourages process improvement to increase efficiency/effectiveness within the team and organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize industry and business knowledge to conduct analyses to handle complex deals and monitor day to day processing for the team.

  • Lead enhancements or defect fixes to push the business forward (business case development, requirements gathering, and UAT)

  • Demonstrate willingness to ask questions, challenge processes, and seek out answers.

  • Work closely with manager to execute strategic initiatives.

  • Demonstrate leadership by training, mentoring, and guiding junior staff.

  • Work with all clients, internal and external, to resolve any issues in a timely fashion.

  • Identify inefficiencies in daily tasks and lead improvement(s) in processing productivity and risk mitigation.

  • Maintain and improve team metrics by preventing escalations, reducing breaks/age, and

improving client experience

  • Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management.

  • Support implementation of securities processing improvements

  • Assist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes

  • Develop and use knowledge of securities processing practices and standards.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for

  • the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

2-5 years of relevant experience. Proven track record within capital markets operations, fixed income settlement experience preferred.

Demonstrated leadership roles and ability to influence others.

Strong analytical, problem solving and PC skills (especially Excel)

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

$55,440.00 - $77,360.00
