Therefore, this opportunity allows you to be hired as a Senior Auditor or Advanced Staff Auditor, depending on your experience level. The Internal Audit department is an excellent place to grow your career at The Hartford. To meet our commitment to develop finance professionals we offer: diverse assignments in key finance and operational areas, responsibility for running audit engagements, approximately 40 hours of continuing professional education each year, including training in insurance, auditing and personal development skills, frequent "networking" meetings with hiring managers and executives within the organization to help you position yourself for your next career move at The Hartford.

As an audit professional, you’ll further expand on your understanding of the insurance industry. As an in-charge for audit engagements, you’ll interact with senior financial and operating management. Internal auditing offers you the opportunity to expand on your financial, IT and analytical skills while gaining a better understanding of the operations as a consultant on business risks and controls. In this role you will work with several audit application programs including Auditboard and other data analysis software.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree required

  • 4 plus years of experience in Audit or related experience

  • Experience understanding risk/control environments

  • Mastery of critical thinking, communication and analysis skills required

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as MSBI or Tableau is a plus

  • Ability to gather and interpret data for use in data analysis and execution of data analytics.

  • Travel is limited to no more than two to three weeks per year and often less.

  • CPA, CIA or CISA designation is a plus

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
