HP Inc. Firmware Engineer (HyperX) in Hsinchu, Taiwan
We are seeking after a experienced firmware engineer who loves gaming to join HyperX team to create gaming peripherals. The engineer will be working with internal project teams and collaborate with external suppliers to develop and carry quality gaming peripherals through successful launches.
Responsibilities:
Firmware project management & communication
Generate firmware requirement and comand set protocols
Develop firmware for various gaming peripherals
Define & own firmware specification, command set protocols, test plan & critieria, and development timeline.
Unit Test firmware to ensure functions meet expectations
Optimize functions and processes to maintain steady performance
Basic Qualifications :
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Extensive experience working with various ARM-based MCUs
Well experienced with various interface protocols (e.g. USB, UART, I2S, SPI, I2C)
Experience in defining API/protocols and developing firmware for USB peripherals
Capabiliity in bringing up SDKs and in-depth coding
Preferred Qualifications :
Firmware development experience for Gaming peripherals is strongly preferred.
Experience with board-level debugging on various interfaces (e.g. USB, I2S, I2C, SPI)
Experience with wireless protocols (BT, 2.4Ghz, ...) is a strong plus
Experience with audio codecs/DSP, and gaming-grade wireless audio solutions is a strong plus
Working experiences in ODM or IC component design houses
Sharp and fast learner that is able to pick up different systems with various core components.
Open-minded and willing to embrace challenges

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred
Minimum 3 year experience.
