U.S. Marine Corps SECURITY SPECIALIST in Iwakuni, Japan

Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Installation Protection (IP) Branch ofMARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI . ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Responsibilities You will develop, manage, administer, evaluate, and/or oversee program plans, policies, procedures, processes, and activities. You will serve as the Antiterrorism/ Force Protection Program Manager and act as the focal point for the Installation AT/FP program. You will provide assistance in organization, administration, and coordination with local and military agencies to ensure an effective and efficient program effort. You will serve as a technical advisor/authoritative source on AT/FP issues and activities in providing advice, updates, briefings and recommendations to the installation commander. You will coordinate the collection and analysis of threat information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector directing and coordinating an Antiterrorism/ Force Protection program; ensure applicable standards are achieved; AND advise command on required measures to be implemented at various Force Protection Conditions. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, OR Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
