Safety Monitors are an extra set of eyes and ears to keep everyone safe! This position requires focus, good attention to detail, ability to continually walk around the assembly lines to ensure everyone is working safely. This is a key role that ensures that safety is the #1 focus for the warehouse. Candidates need to have prior exprience working in a safety capacity in a warehouse as a safety coach, monitor, on a safety committee, etc. Need to have excellent attendance and a positive outlook!

salary: $16.99 - $17 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 3 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Monitor the production line to ensure all talent are working safely. Able to identify any safety hazards on the line, as well as any other areas in our work area in the warehouse

Will be continually walking the line and looking for trip hazards, housekeeping issues, blocked aisles, loose wires, loose cords, PPE, machine guarding, and any other potential safety risks.

Ensure talent are lifting properly, moving out of harm's way when electric pallet jacks and forklifts are in our area.

Identify and address any safety hazards with the management team to get them corrected

Alert management when someone is working unsafe so they can also assist in getting this corrected

Need to demonstrate good working techniques and be able to work with all members of the management team

Correct any and all safety violations as they are happening in a respectful manner

Provide training as needed

Be a safety role model

Must also be able to work on the assembly line as a line worker when instructed. Rotation of safety monitors requires line work, lifting, etc---this is a requirement

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
