Supervisor: *Senior Accounting Manager *Status: *Non-exempt, full-time. *Wage: Salary begins at $58,000 annually, adjusted for experience. Number of Openings: One. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hybrid office setting.

Our Accountant supports the Senior Accounting Manager and the Finance Team by completing journal entries related to all finance disciplines and has primary responsibility for treasury management functions. The position supports the completion of reconciliations for general ledger accounts ensuring GAAP and internal procedures are implemented and finance operations are completed appropriately.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
  • Create and enter journal entries related to monthly business activities with appropriate documentation for backup.
  • Process incoming payments by check, credit card and EFT.
  • Assist with cash forecasting and daily cash management.
  • Oversee the commercial card program including issuances of credit cards, limit assignment, and termination of cards.
  • Record and reconcile all ledger transaction in Representative Payee Manager and other software.
  • Provide backup support for payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Perform internal audit of processes, procedures, and practices of the Finance Department.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all restricted information, data and reports.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned by the CFO or the CEO.

Paid training is provided to all new hires.

Requirements for Employment:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 2-3 years experience working in financial software.

Candidate Qualifications:

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.

Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state and local grant requirements and regulations as well as other contractual financial regulations and procedures.
