Job Duties:

• Design customized equipment by utilizing 2D & 3D design software to create models and manufacturing drawings.

• Investigate validity of new design processes & tools with the Product Teams, documenting new processes and procedures as applicable.

• Communicate project decisions and deliverables with the Project Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer and Project Manager.

• Project cost impact associated with materials, engineering labor and design related decisions as compared to the estimates and forecasting of deliverables.

• Employ principals of designing for manufacturability.

• Interface with Manufacturing and external Suppliers for component selection, manufacturing and assembly

• Work on building prototype and field test units for new products, help bring new products from R & D to commercial unit.

• Work with applications engineers in conversion of sales drawings into production engineering drawings.

• Coordinate project requirements and work with various departments to ensure adherence to and coordination of the following: development of engineering drawings, documentation, scheduling for completion of assigned projects, factory acceptance testing, and delivery of equipment at customer site

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in machine design

• Minimum 7 years’ experience with 2D & 3D design software

• Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge

• Experience with project management

• Experience leading project teams
