Robert Half Software Engineer in Knoxville, Tennessee

Description We are in search of a Software Engineer to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. This position is based in the heart of the tech industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Software Engineer, you will be working with .Net, web forms, and medical billing systems. You will also be using your skills in Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, and CSS to provide valuable contributions to our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software applications using .Net and web forms

• Utilize medical billing knowledge to enhance and streamline our systems

• Use Apache Struts for creating enterprise-ready applications

• Apply C++ programming language to develop system software

• Manage and manipulate databases to ensure smooth operations

• Implement EO/IR systems as part of the software development process

• Utilize Hibernate ORM in the data layer of applications

• Conduct AB Testing to optimize user experience and system performance

• Incorporate Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications

• Develop APIs to allow interaction between different software intermediaries

• Utilize ASP.NET framework for building web applications

• Apply CSS for creating visually appealing web pages. Requirements • Proficiency in programming languages including but not limited to C++ and ASP.NET

• Demonstrated experience with Apache Struts and Hibernate ORM

• Solid understanding of EO/IR systems

• Proven ability in AB Testing and Ajax

• Experience in API Development

• Proficient in CSS

• Strong knowledge of database systems and structures

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Demonstrable portfolio of software engineering projects or products

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is preferred
