YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

  • You will join a growing team of dedicated Project and Commercial Managers, who work together to deliver projects across breadth of clients with an increased focus on the natural environment, regulated and unregulated water, flood defence, earth and environment, with over 10,000 people in the UK alone.

  • This team’s current projects range from major highways, rail and light rail, urban infrastructure, civils, energy, flood, water, wind, carbon capture, nuclear, defence and large-scale utilities projects. We are looking to strengthen our NEC EEC PM team in supporting a range of projects in the Environment and Water sectors.

  • We are looking for project professionals with experience in the water and environment to support our strategy for growth and expansion. You will have experience of successful project delivery, working alongside (and leading where necessary) multi-discipline teams and working closely with Client Project managers.

  • There may be opportunities to gain significant client-side experience to develop your career in these vital sectors.

You will be part of our wider Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), made up of over 400 people across the UK and sit within our Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group.

  • You will engage with WSP wider initiatives to promote our commitment towards halving the carbon footprint of our designs and client advice by 2030.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Have experience of project management in the Water and Environment Sectors.

  • Have significant experience managing NEC ECC contracts ( preferably accredited NEC4 PM)

  • Are driven and passionate about making a difference to your career and creating a positive impact on our planet within civil infrastructure, utilities and construction.

  • Are not afraid to challenge the status quo, to try innovative solutions and learn from past experiences.

  • Can demonstrate your ability to be client, mission and task focussed to capitalise on opportunity for growth and consistently deliver projects to high standards against demanding KPIs.

  • Have significant experience of and preferably accredited in NEC EEC Project Management and can demonstrate a full working knowledge of managing projects in a collaborative and highly demanding project environment, working as part of a project team, and supporting project success and strong client relationships.

  • Demonstrate a commercial awareness and have the ability to communicate with purpose and act with professionalism and authority.

  • You can demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

  • Project Controls

  • Commercial Awareness and supporting Cost Management

  • Schedule Management

  • Performance Management and Reporting

  • Risk Management

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Health, Safety & Quality Management

  • You have a degree in relevant technical discipline (civil engineering, project or construction management) OR Equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant project experience

  • If you have a Membership of appropriate professional institution such as: Association of Project Managers (APM), Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Member of Chartered Institute of Building (MCCIOB), Member Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Member Association for Project Management (MAPM), Member Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE)
