Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation: Transport students to and from school safely and on time.

• Route Management: Follow assigned routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary for road conditions.

• Student Interaction: Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.

• Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.

• Emergency Readiness: Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations.

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of driving hours, student counts, and incidents

Qualifications:

• Valid California Class B License: Must possess a current Class B commercial driver’s license.

• P and S Endorsements: Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements are mandatory.

• Clean Driving Record: No major traffic violations or accidents.

• DOT Medical Card: Current Department of Transportation medical certification.

• CPR and First Aid Certified: Certification required (or willingness to obtain).

• Experience: Minimum of [X] years driving experience, preferably in a school bus setting.

• Background Check: Must be willing to undergo a comprehensive background check.
