About the Role

As a Product Innovation Analyst, you'll act as an internal consultant to drive strategic innovation projects across RELX businesses. You'll provide analytical and consulting support, share best practices, and build innovation capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the definition, planning, management, and execution of product development investments.

  • Participating in market discovery and analysis for investment opportunities.

  • Developing analytical problem-solving approaches and delivering insights and recommendations.

  • Supporting product discovery tasks including design sprints, prototype development and testing, and customer research.

  • Constructing analysis and developing sophisticated models to support projects and scenario evaluations, including collecting and synthesizing internal and external data.

  • Supporting workshops, webinars, presentations, and training sessions. Gathering and sharing intelligence on industry trends.

  • Performing analysis work and projects to support RELX Product Forum reporting and objectives.

  • Preparing persuasive & compelling presentations to clearly communicate analyses and recommendations, supported with data

Requirements

  • Have proven expertise in product development practices, particularly in Media or Business Information sectors, including B2B experience.

  • Be able to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively. Have great communication and presentation skills.

  • Possess excellent analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

  • Be experienced in SQL, data visualization, advanced analytics, Python/R, and product analytics tools.

  • Have familiarity with customer discovery activities and frameworks such as Jobs-To-Be-Done (JTBD).

  • Be capable of identifying important product-related data and developing KPIs. Have the ability to assess risks associated with product concepts and analyze the results of experiments designed to test assumptions.

  • Possess the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups and levels within an organization. Be eager to address a variety of product-related challenges with different stakeholders.

  • Have an understanding of technology stacks at a high level and diligently learn about new technologies to support product development.
