Amazon Finance Manager in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to join the International Emerging Stores (IES) team supporting the Expansions organization. The focus of the group is to find ways to serve more customers around the world while maximizing long term free cash flow for Amazon. The Finance Manager will partner with multiple leaders across Expansions Product, Tech, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Business Development to provide strategic guidance and thought leadership for short and long-range investment decisions, build mechanisms and tools to surface key analytical insights, dive deep into large sets of data, prioritize and deliver projects that aim to continuously improve our scale and efficiency. This role requires a self-starter with business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, a track record of influencing business partners with data-driven decision making, and the ability to move fast. Communication and collaboration are key, as the individual must interact with numerous functions and teams within Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

Drive investment strategy discussion via insightful and relevant analysis

Partners with Senior leadership to evaluate the financial impact of decisions

Be a steward for maximizing long term free cash flow of investments

Builds financial projections for innovative growth models

Partner with various business and tech teams to become a subject matter expert on systems and outcomes

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • OR

  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

  • MBA, or CPA
