Amazon Senior Finance Analyst - Placement, Placement and Fulfillment Finance in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

We are seeking a motivated Finance professional to join our team at Amazon EU. This unique role combines finance controllership, data analytics, and stakeholder management, allowing you to have a significant impact across multiple organizations.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, your primary focus will be on optimizing fulfillment costs. You will utilize advanced analytics and tools to query large datasets, interpret inputs and outputs, and drive valuable insights.

Working with supply chain, transportation, and fulfillment centers, you will engage with stakeholders to enhance the customer experience and reduce costs.

Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, forecasting, controls, and analysis of EU fulfillment planning for all Amazon EU purchases. You will establish financial controls, develop models, create agile processes, and implement innovative solutions. Additionally, you will present your initiatives to senior management and gain their support.

To excel in this role, it is important to be comfortable working with advanced analytics and tools. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential as you will closely collaborate with various teams. Expertise in operational and financial metrics will be valuable in leading continuous cost improvements and tracking savings.

Key job responsibilities

  • Focusing on controllership and cost optimization initiatives

  • Leveraging advanced analytics and tools to analyze data and generate insights

  • Contributing to financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis of EU fulfillment planning

  • Working with stakeholders to enhance the customer experience and drive cost reduction

  • Developing models, implementing agile processes, and driving innovative solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)

  • Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field

  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses

  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Python/R
