Google Director, Electrical Engineering and Systems, Pixel in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15 years of experience leading or executing consumer product system design, hardware architecture, New Product Introduction (NPI), or product delivery.

  • Experience managing a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience with architecture and design of circuit boards, including chipset, memory, high-speed communication interfaces, or power.

  • Experience integrating battery, memories, power supply, display, sensors, and analog design.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Set strategy on architecture, connectivity, power, and electrical innovation, and influence areas with Platforms and Ecosystems.

  • Lead an Electrical Engineering team through all phases of product development, and work with cross-functional teams to develop hardware architecture and systems for next generation products.

  • Connect product definition mapping to features and electrical implementation, with an understanding of how data flows in a system, what matters, and how to build it.

  • Lead the team on key systems electrical, architectural, and implementation trade-offs on products.

  • Design products, influence and define system specification, communicate ideas, and discuss solutions with teams.
