Engineer II - System Development

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements and specifications.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for system designs.

  • Develop and maintain system architecture, block diagrams, and schematics.

  • Create and execute test plans to validate system performance and reliability.

  • Conduct system integration and testing activities to ensure that all components work together as intended.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and work with other engineers to resolve technical problems.

  • Providing compliance with industry standards and regulations, in particular regarding functional safety and cyber security (e.g., eFLP, ASPICE, ISO26262 FuSa, ISO 21434 Cyber Security, IATF 16949).

  • Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory authorities on functional safety and cybersecurity-related matters.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.

  • Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets.

  • Tracking and reporting domain specific project key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in system engineering in the automotive industry.

  • Preferably 2 years work experience in the field of system engineering or system architecture development as well as with Functional Safety and Cyber Security.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components, including automotive embedded and electrical systems.

  • Proficiency in system engineering tools such as requirements management, simulation, and analysis software.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 26262, ISO 21434 and Automotive SPICE

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Experience with sensor systems for autonomous driving, project management and budgeting is a plus.

  • International experience preferred

  • Fluency in English is required

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
