UBS Business Solutions US LLC seeks Director, Legal Entity Controller, UBS Americas Holding LLC in Nashville, Tennessee. On a monthly basis, ensure accuracy of the financial reporting of UBS’ Intermediate Holding Company (IHC), UBS Americas Holding LLC, under U.S., Swiss, and international accounting standards, including its Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management and Treasury business divisions. Provide oversight over all IHC accounting activities. Supervise Analysts within the entity control department. Coordinate and liaise with multiple teams in other locations who provide financial data for individual businesses within the IHC to ensure accurate legal entity financial reporting and regulatory reporting for UBS Americas Holding LLC. Manage status reporting and resolution of issues impacting the production of financial reports for the IHC and its subsidiaries. This requires coordinating and leading issue resolution across the multiple teams supporting the businesses and subsidiaries of the IHC to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of the IHC and subsidiaries. Responsible for producing UBS Americas Holdings LLC’s audited financial statements, including planning of the audit, internal staff and external auditor’s activities to ensure timely and accurate production of the audited financial statements of the IHC and supporting material to enable the Board to approve the financial statements. Utilize knowledge of financial reporting standards and banking products to review and approve new business activities in the IHC and perform reporting under all applicable standards. You will be working on the Group Finance team located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field and six (6) year of experience in the job offered or as a Senior Manager, Controller, Senior Associate, Audit Manager, or related position. Position requires experience in the following: performing financial reporting or audit within the financial services industry or for a global accounting firm supporting clients in the financial services industry; participating in finance, accounting, or audit in the banking sector or financial services sector; performing financial and variance analysis of business results and financial and management reporting; performing financial reporting, reviewing financial statements for compliance with US GAAP and IFRS; performing accounting research for compliance with US GAAP and IFRS; utilizing US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards for financial instruments, including capital markets and structured products, and investment products, including bonds, equities, mutual funds, hedge funds, forward contracts, options, swaps, and futures. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent required. Employer will accept three (3) years of university-level studies plus two (2) years of experience providing accounting support in the financial services industry as meeting the degree requirements.
