Your role:

Are you a motivated self-starter? Do you have the desire to understand and be involved in all aspects of an exciting Finance function? We’re looking for someone like that to help us:

  • support the governance of all aspects of the Nashville Finance Service Catalogue which includes, Financial Controlling, Legal Entity Reporting and Regulatory Reporting.

Specifically the role will include:

  • organization of the Nashville Finance Management Committee, of which you will be a member, including working with the broader Nashville Finance management team on relevant agenda items, follow up on actions etc. This will include having a clear view of staffing levels including organizational charts and also expected future demand for Nashville Finance services, as well as people related initiatives i.e. upcoming staff events and responding to feedback from staff surveys etc.

  • leading the Nashville Finance Risk Committee including the tracking of risk remediation work and the review and challenge with respect to risk related matters across all Finance teams in Nashville. This should also encompass the consideration of metrics that track the quality of our services.

  • leading the Nashville Global Balance Sheet Ownership & Verification (GBSOV) committee which ensures that unsubstantiated balance sheet balances are appropriately understood, escalated and remediated against transparent action plans.

  • acting as the Finance Regulatory Process Management (RPM) coordinator for the broader Americas Region (including outside of Nashville). The role includes ensuring that the database of regulatory reports is appropriately maintained, is ratified by Functional Owners and that any operational risk including errors/events are appropriately dealt with and linked to the UBS risk framework including the Nashville Risk Committee, where Nashville related.

This role will provide excellent oversight of all Nashville Finance activities and more broadly the UBS risk and governance framework. It will also be a high profile role where you will interact with all teams and management across the Nashville Finance team. Whilst a diverse and interesting role in in itself it would, for the right candidate, provide a platform to later move in to any other area within the Nashville Finance services team.

Your team:

This role will report directly to the Executive Director, Nashville Finance Service Delivery lead and you'll work collaboratively with all of the Nashville Finance management team across all teams and aspects of the Finance function in Nashville.

Your expertise:

You have:

– a university degree in accounting, business or similar field

– at least 5 years of experience in a role like this or at least have had exposure to governance and risk aspects in prior roles, or be a Finance or accounting professional ready to take on a broader risk and governance focused role in the next stage of your career development

You are:

– methodical, concise and accurate, with strong attention to detail

– a strong communicator and able to build trust and respect with your colleagues

– practical and have a collaborative approach to problem solving
