Summary of duties: Understand and manage key risk analytics for Agency Mortgage Backed Securities. Liaise with key partner teams such as Financial Modeling group to maintain and enhance mortgage valuations and risk models such as prepayment, agency credit and mortgage rate model to ensure accurate risk analytics consistent with the market landscape. Work on client inquiries and be responsible to communicate upcoming analytical model updates in single security Agency MBS space to 200+ Aladdin clients effectively. Work on strategic & tactical projects throughout the year and be the subject matter expert on Agency RMBS for various internal/external stakeholders. Work on model validation and analytics stress testing to ensure the valuation/risk models product accurate risk analytics.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a related field and One (1) year of experience as a Senior Consultant, Risk Analyst, or related OR Bachelor’s degree in Financial Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience as a Senior Consultant, Risk Analyst, or related. Must have one (1) year of experience with the following: SQL, Unix and Python; fixed income products including Mortgage backed securities and structured products including Collateral Mortgage Obligations; MBS investment risk including prepayments, borrower behavior and interest rate sensitivity; fixed income risk analytics including duration, convexity and option adjusted spreads.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $142,800 - $157,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
