•provide analytical support to a senior team of fixed income strategists;
•make meaningful contributions to weekly and monthly research publications;
•confidently express credit opinions and recommendations; and
•work cooperatively and collegially with colleagues.
•build analytical models under the supervision of senior strategists;
•produce exhibits / illustrations for written reports quickly and accurately; and
•manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure the timely publication of research reports.

The team includes experienced fixed income strategists covering taxable and tax exempt securities in support of UBS financial advisors. The position will report to an Executive Director within the Chief Investment Office. UBS is an acknowledged leader in global wealth management.
•strong analytic and quantitative skills with demonstrable experience building financial models;
•strong understanding of statistical techniques (distribution fitting, time series analysis, linear regressions, etc.);
•advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including macros, pivot tables, histograms etc.) and TABLEAU; and
•proficiency in the use of Bloomberg terminal applications.
You will have an incremental advantage if you have one or more of the following:
•a Series 7, 52, and 63 / 66 license;
•an undergraduate degree in mathematics, applied statistics, engineering or similar field of study;
•an advanced degree or CFA designation, but relevant market experience may suffice.
