The Merchandise Planner of the MP&A Testing team is responsible for organizing and performing the testing strategies for the U.S. domestic business, specifically focusing on stores performance. This role will maintain total company testing initiatives to ensure they align with the enterprise goals, meet brand requirements, and assist in overall strategy. The Testing Merchandise Planner will generate and analyze statistical data, find opportunity or risk in support of the business initiatives based on test results. This role is also required to sustain 3rd party relationships with consulting partners and maintain strong communication/collaboration with BBW and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

  • Report on test performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews

  • Present test strategy and proposals to leadership team

  • Analyze past results, identify business trends, and make recommendations for improvements

  • Work closely with the merchandise planning & merchant teams to help build and implement test strategy

  • Maintain organizational process files to help influence timelines and tasks for Marketing, Digital, and Store Operation teams

  • Evaluate test financial performance by comparing and analyzing results

  • Provide analysis of test results and recommend actions for total company implementation

  • Learn and work in Test and Learn by Mastercard software interface

  • Meet frequently with Mastercard T&L partners to identify optimization, troubleshooting, and test analysis

Qualifications

Required:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience

  • 1 year buying, planning, or allocation experience

  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions

  • Business Analytics experience

  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Proficiency in process building, organization, and attention to detail

  • Good business sense

  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management

    Desired:

  • Test & Learn by Mastercard or APT software platform experience

  • Prior experience using EDW / MicroStrategy or another web-based Data Services engine

  • Retail Industry or Merchandise Planning experience

  • Background/experience in Statistics

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or Business field required
