The Boeing Company is seeking a UI&UX Designer Graduate to join our team located in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. This programme commences July 2024 and will be a 6 months full time, fixed term contract. Located in our state-of-the-art facilities, this role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of aerospace through innovative user interface design and user experience strategies. As a User Experience Specialist at Boeing, you will be instrumental in developing intuitive and engaging digital solutions that meet the high standards of our global user base.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and refine user interfaces for a wide range of aerospace applications, from in-flight entertainment systems to pilot dashboard interfaces.

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and identify user needs and preferences.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and product managers, to ensure a seamless and cohesive user experience across all touchpoints.

  • Apply best practices in UI/UX design, including responsive design, accessibility standards, and interaction design principles.

  • Create and maintain design documentation, including user stories, flow diagrams, and wireframes.

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in user experience design and recommend innovative solutions to improve product usability and satisfaction.

  • Facilitate workshops and design sprints to ideate and co-create solutions with team members and stakeholders.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing features and make recommendations for improvements based on user feedback and analytics.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Experience in UI/UX design, interaction design, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or InVision.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a user-centered design approach and problem-solving skills in digital interfaces.

  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.

  • Excellent visual design skills, with an eye for detail and consistency.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present design concepts and strategies clearly to a wide range of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Knowledge of web and mobile app development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks is a plus.

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, or complex systems is a plus.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

  • Certification in UI/UX design, such as Nielsen Norman Group or Interaction Design Foundation certifications.

Key Relationships:

  • You will report to a Senior Manager.

  • You will work under the supervision of the Technical Lead.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Saudi Arabia law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Saudi Arabia labor and immigration formalities.
