Robert Half Fund Accountant in San Francisco, California

Description

Jeff Abrams with Robert Half is working with an exceptional company for a Fund Accounting Manager. If you looking to grow your career as Fund Accounting Manager this role could be for you. In this role you will be responsible for

· Develop and maintain a comprehensive grasp of financial reporting and general ledger structures.

· Conduct detailed reviews of quarterly and annual Funds' financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to US GAAP standards.

· Collaborate with the Finance management team to facilitate precise and punctual audit and tax filings. This involves liaising with external service providers, researching intricate tax and accounting matters as necessary, and contributing to both internal and external audit and tax processes.

· Monitor cash positions across various Funds and forecast future cash requirements.

· Assess capital calls and distributions to limited partners, as well as those associated with underlying investments.

· Provide assistance with regulatory compliance matters as required.

· Work closely with the finance management team to advance overall departmental and company objectives.

· Analyze departmental operations to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency and resource utilization while upholding accuracy standards.

· Address inquiries from limited partners regarding financial outcomes and special reporting requests, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.

· Assist the finance management team in advising a team of accountants on the management of non-routine reporting transactions.

· Offer mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Requirements

· Minimum of 5 years' experience in Audit or Fund Accounting roles.

· Open to candidates transitioning directly from public audit at the Manager or Senior Manager level.

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics - Strong academic performance, particularly with a high GPA, is highly advantageous.

· CPA certification is required.
