Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Corporate Planning Intern in San Jose, California

Job Overview:

The primary role will be to help with the implementation of the new planning system the Intern partner closely with the finance team and support other projects within the group, as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation for Q2 financial reporting

  • Assist with monthly headcount reports

  • Document and create flow charts of existing processes

  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting

  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure the impact of digital initiatives.

  • Contribute ideas and insights to brainstorming sessions aimed at driving innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Assist worldwide Finance and business teams with completion of tasks as needed.

    Job Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in Finance and digital technology.

  • Detail oriented and well organized.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and willingness to learn new software applications.

  • Prior experience in Planning and forecasting is a plus.

  • Experience with data/analytics tools (ie Tableau, PowerBI, etc) a plus.

    Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/MS in Business Administration or equivalent.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Good teamwork and influencing skills.

  • Good research skills – ability to find, analyze, and summarize information from a variety of sources.

  • The internship will be based in the Bay Area, California, at Cadence’s corporate headquarters.
