Amazon Business is seeking an analytically-gifted, results-oriented Marketing Manager to lead the web analytics and testing roadmap for our marketing content site. In this role, you will be the point-of-contact within the marketing organization for website measurement, A/B testing, and optimization. This individual will partner with content, UX, and tech teams to prioritize measurement capabilities, develop and maintain dashboards for various initiatives, and serve as subject matter expert on website optimization. As a highly-visible analytics lead, you will regularly interface with stakeholders and leadership to monitor website performance, socialize insights, and recommend optimization/testing opportunities for various marketing initiatives.

The right candidate will be a well-versed analytics professional with previous experience in web analytics and/or A/B testing. They should exhibit a high level of proficiency when speaking to website measurement, and have the ability to articulate data and insights to cross-functional stakeholders. This individual will be able to balance their subject matter expertise with strong communication skills when providing analytics and testing support for partner teams. Their experience should include familiarity with marketing analytics, cross-channel measurement, and A/B testing concepts. They should also have the technical know-how to troubleshoot web analytics implementations, and communicate tracking requirements to development teams.

Key job responsibilities

Manage web analytics reporting and measurement for the Amazon Business marketing content site, create dashboards that enable marketers to measure the effectiveness of their channels and/or programs, and maintain a rigid testing culture while executing A/B tests to drive towards business goals:

• Serve as resident expert on web analytics and A/B testing for the Amazon Business marketing content site.

• Develop standardized reporting for overall website performance and business goals/objectives.

• Work with stakeholders to understand their objectives, and develop relevant dashboards and/or reporting mechanisms to ensure they can accurately measure and optimize towards goals.

• Develop and execute various website tests to drive acquisition, engagement, and traffic improvements.

• Regularly audit web analytics implementation to ensure data accuracy, and work with development teams to address issues and/or recommend new tracking capabilities.

• Work with a cross-functional team of Content Marketers, UX Designers, Product Managers, Web Developers, Data Scientists, and peer marketing teams to maintain alignment on website measurement and performance.

• Support broader measurement initiatives across the organization, providing guidance and/or requirements to ensure data accuracy.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams

  • BA or equivalent

  • Experience with compiling and presenting data to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Strong understanding of web analytics concepts, including metric definitions, measurement methods, and standard reporting practices.

  • Proficient with web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.

  • Working knowledge of A/B testing concepts, best practices, and tools.

  • Familiar with digital marketing analytics concepts such as multi-touch attribution, and conversion rate optimization.

  • Familiar with website targeting and personalization methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in analytics, data science, or a similar field.

  • 3-5 years experience.

  • Previous experience with managing web analytics implementations for complex and/or large organizations.

  • Deep technical understanding of website tagging for analytics.

  • High level of proficiency with A/B testing concepts and best practices, including hands-on experience with setting up and executing web experiments.

  • Experience working in B2B marketing, subscriptions, consumer products, and/or e-commerce.

  • Experience using SQL to extract, join, and manipulate large datasets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
