Cotiviti is looking for an intern software developer summer intern in their core Healthcare Product/Payment space. The intern will assist in working on new ideas to bring innovation to our software engineering activities and how data is processed, transformed, and analyzed. Will work on an identified backlog of innovation ideas or simply implement some of their own. Candidates should have a deep interest in software engineering, data, experimenting with new tools and designing applications to deliver business value. We are looking for skills in software development, data processing, ETL, databases. Some practical experience with Java or Python would be a plus. This will be a great learning opportunity to pick up development and data analysis skills while solving health business problems.

Responsibilities

Deliver on innovation ideas and initiatives involving Data Analysis and Software Engineering. * Collaborate with business users, systems analysts and or development teams in defining, analyzing and interpreting business and technical requirements. * Develop technical expertise in any number of programming languages including but not limited to: Java and Python. * Learn and leverage testing tools. * Participate in code and documentation or design reviews according to standards or new specifications. * Assist in work related to environments or prototypes. * Track data for analysis and perform basic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a degree in Computer Science or Math preferred with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong performance in programming courses, database design and programming.
• Experience and knowledge of programming specifically Java and Python.
• Deep interest and some experience in technologies such as NoSQL, Mongo Hadoop, Hive, Spark
• Motivated individual who is a quick learner, intuitive and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to effectively and efficiently solve normal challenges and problems in an office/business environment.
• Strong organizational skills plus strong written and oral communication capabilities. Technical Skills:
• Comfortable with Java, SQL and Linux
• Conceptual understanding of fundamental programing concepts either from your degree or self-learning
• Familiarity with common computer science libraries such as java.util.concurrent
• SpringBoot experience is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Interested in collaborating on a large team with other programmer on innovative projects Benefits:
