Description

Renaissance School of Medicine, Stony Brook University, Department of Anesthesiology, is recruiting for a Physician/General/Pediatric Anesthesiologist.

The candidate will provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery or other procedures, and will provide consultation before and after the anesthetic procedure. The candidate will be actively engaged in the instruction and/or supervision of medical students, resident physicians, and certified registered nurse anesthetists.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) degree
  • Board certified/eligible in Anesthesiology & Pediatric Anesthesia
  • Completed, or currently attending, an ACGME accredited Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia
  • Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a Physician in New York State

Preferred Qualification:

  • Completed (within 6 months), or currently attending an ACGME accredited Fellowship program in Pediatric Anesthesiology
  • Interest and Skilled in the provision of regional analgesia to infants and neonates
  • Interest in pursuit of clinical research

Tenure/Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
