Amazon is seeking a skilled, motivated and customer obsessed Senior Learning Business Partner (Sr. LBP) with a history of high performance and creativity to support our Operations learning initiatives within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Working within the Global Operations Learning and Development (GOLD) function, the Sr. LBP plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner in the region’s leadership development landscape. Acting as a voice of the customer, the Sr. LBP serves as a dynamic conduit, articulating specific development needs directly to the central product teams in order to shape central programs that will provide impact. As the business integration lead for an APAC customer cohort the Sr. LBP takes ownership of managing and seamlessly integrating GOLD leadership solutions for each of the countries within APAC.

This role requires strong collaboration with our operational stakeholders across the globe to coordinate and organize learning events, programs and initiatives for our new and existing buildings. In addition to collaborating with members of our GOLD team, the Learning Business Partner must build effective working relationships with our partners in World Wide Operations, support functions, and various outside vendors to deliver on our customer promise.

With proven experience within the Leadership Development space the Sr. Learning Business Partner will be required to leverage their expertise in order to support countries in managing their needs assessment and fostering innovative approaches in order to delivery learning solutions for multiple countries.

A trusted partner with excellent communication skills the Sr. LBP role will suit a candidate that motivates others to action, has proven capabilities in managing complex projects and demonstrates the ability to effectively manage, often competing, priorities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for customer experience, a high level of flexibility, commitment, and the ability to continuously improve the process of managing strategy, management and talent development activities across APAC operations.

Key job responsibilities

• Build strong partnerships with business leaders (e.g. Site Leaders, Operations Managers, support function leads) to understand learning needs and ensure targeted solution development. Dive in to quickly learn about learners’ goals and challenges, their work environment, and learning styles.

• Leverage science and data driven approaches to design and deploy learning and performance solutions. Use rapid design and distribution methods (virtual, classroom, blended and multi-media) that best suit business needs and which tangibly and positively impact performance.

• Manage, interpret and analyze business data to report conclusions and make recommendations based on findings.

• Produce written reports to communicate and gain support for solutions, measurement and evaluation plans. Contribute to Business reviews and People related papers within the region.

• To identify and align individual leadership development plans, build a catalogue of learning content according to business needs and facilitate delivery and completion of training.

• Use expertise to provide coaching and feedback on leadership related topics working with leaders to identify leadership and coaching skills development opportunities.

• End-to-end ownership of the GOLD associate and leader training programs at site.

• Support and execute Launch Learning actions for new buildings.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of Leadership Development or similar experience.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information, verbally and in writing, concisely and in a manner which drives people to take action.

• Demonstrated ability to influence others and execute in a customer-centric manner.

• Experience planning and coordinating training, large meetings or events.

• Experience with Outlook, MS Excel, Word and Learning Management Systems.

• Ability to handle multiple projects end to end, often with conflicting deadlines.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills

• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

• Strong Verbal and Writing communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, business, education, organizational development, etc.

• Initiative to do whatever it takes to get things done and quickly resolve unanticipated problems.

• Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills; accuracy is essential.

• Proficient with Learning Software - design, Learning Management System or similar

• Experience designing or developing learning solutions

• Experience with Learning metrics and analysis

• Learning facilitation experience
