Your role:

Do you have a passion for Investment Management and enjoy leading others to succeed? We are looking for someone like that to lead our team of Client Advisors as the Head of Sales for Wealth Management Canada.

In this role , as a member of the Wealth Management Canada Executive Committee you will be responsible for the Canadian Wealth Management business development strategy and implementing it to deliver short and long term sustainable results. Leading, coaching and developing a team of professional Client Advisors is a significant part of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading, inspiring and guiding others toward a vision that builds national capabilities

  • Drive client acquisition and revenue generation by promoting UBS' brand and products and serving the client through their team.

  • Coach all team members and ensure appropriate training and development measures using full transparency in communication and measurement.

  • Implements processes, guidelines and best practices according to legal + compliance requirements and sales efficiency standards.

  • Pro-actively manage all business & treasury risks and participate in local risk committee.

  • Responsible for daily supervision activities in conjunction with Branch Supervisory Management team.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with functional and divisional colleagues locally, regionally and globally.

  • Manage Regulatory activities to ensure complete regulatory compliance and strong relationship with regulatory representatives

  • Follow and adhere to the UBS code of ethics and the Cross Border regulations.

Key Deliverables:

  • Delivery of KPIs as agreed with local and regional management teams

  • Maximizes existing relationships and efficiently leverages external and internal partners.

  • Monitor, anticipate and control risks.

*Attract new talent, coach and retain existing talent and foster development to strengthen client partnerships.

  • Holds regular sales and acquisitions meetings

  • Manage direct reports effectively with open and regular communication regarding strategy, clients, processes, overall performance goals and results

Your team:

You will be located in the Toronto office with Advisors located in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Your expertise:

You have at least 10 years of experience in a similar management role with a proven track record of growing a wealth management team and a business.

CFA or equivalent knowledge and experience with global investment management products including but not limited to discretionary, non-discretionary portfolio management and non-traditional asset classes.
