IHG Engineering Technician in Switzerland

Duties and Responsibilities

As Engineering Technician, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

Carries out maintenance of structural metal fixtures of buildings as per the scheduled maintenance program and preventive maintenance program.

Carries out painting maintenance requests when the painter is day off or on vacation.

Assists the engineering or landscape departments with handiwork around the hotel as required.

Responds to all guest complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public areas in a timely manner.

Performs preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.

Responds to work request or room inspection reports submitted by other departments.

Responds to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.

Maintains working area and makes sure that all working areas remain clean at all times.

Uses personal safety wares for personal safety while on duty.

Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.

Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Engineering Technician, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year experience in a similar setting.

Technical skills include the ability to analyze and design projects of limited complexity and scope. Paint application for various paint, varnish, and stain knowledge to interior and/or exterior surfaces as well as removal including spray painting. Basic mechanical skills are mandatory.

Fluent in English; I understand that French is preferred.

Candidate must hold a EU passport to apply and / or Swiss citizenship
