Job Summary: As a Data Business Analyst, you will play a key leadership role within a product delivery team, as the main contact to the customer to understand their business needs and goals for the product. You will collaborate with the customer and work closely with the delivery team to ensure the delivered product meets the desired customer outcome. Job Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, specify, document, and validate the business needs and requirements of stakeholders, be they customers or end users

  • Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods as appropriate given customer and project factors

  • Take information gathered from interviews and other methods and translate into technical requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team, creating Epics and Stories

  • Manage requirements and associated expectations of project stakeholders (to include internal, partner and customer sponsors and stakeholders)

  • Identify and establish scope and parameters for a project based on requirements analysis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics

  • Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements

  • Lead and provide guidance to the entire project team as needed regarding the developed application to ensure features and functions are enabled to meet customer requirements

  • Lead and guide team to execute on shared vision, outlining a plan for achieving success

  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards

  • Develop and conduct peer reviews of the requirements to ensure that documented requirements are correctly interpreted, with team and business stakeholders

  • Assist with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicate these back to the business stakeholders

  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary

  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, customers, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. When needed, solicit approval by the customer or stakeholder on affected requirements

  • Demonstrated experience of working successfully with SW development teams, onshore and offshore

  • Strong facilitation skills and experience leading workshops

  • Experience prioritizing competing demands from stakeholders with the ability to resolve conflicts

  • Experience mentoring and executing Agile best practices

  • A genuine passion for delivering quality product that achieves customer needs

  • Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to carry forward and communicate the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization

  • Develops, owns, and executes product roadmap

  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including epics, user stories, features, and acceptance criteria

  • Prioritize and maintain the Sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of customers and stakeholders

  • Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionality

  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

  • Quickly assimilate into the client team, project team and culture, becoming a valuable contributor

  • Excellent client-facing communication skills both written and oral, along with strong listening, interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development

  • Demonstrable skills across project development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall)

  • Proficient in Confluence, Jira or other similar tools

  • Experience with Cloud / Azure / Microsoft O365 suite of tools

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably in a business intelligence or analytics role.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Outstanding overall communication, presentation, and leadership skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Sharp analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
