The Opportunity

Our Abbott Diabetes Care Division ADC has an exciting opportunity for a Finance & Demand Analyst. The position works out of our Warsaw location (Mokotow).

This will be a full-time job, based on a fixed-term employment contract for 12-months via external agency, with an opportunity to extend after successful cooperation.

As the Finance & Demand Analyst you will play an integral role supporting financial and demand planning process for Poland and CEE (8 countries with annual sales of over US$150MM), you will be responsible for providing required analytics and maintenance of financial and demand systems.

This position requires an international profile, reports to Finance Controller PL&CEE and closely cooperates with Finance Manager and Demand & Logistics Manager.

What You'll do:

  • Finance partner for marketing and sales team in effective tracking of promotional spend budget, improvement of spend tracking tools and providing ad hoc analysis.

  • Full responsibility for traditional blood glucose monitoring products (sales & volume forecast, actuals monitoring, shipments coordination, etc.).

  • Assist preparation of financial and demand plans (rolling LBEs, Plan, CDR) & creation of presentations as directed for PL&CEE businesses.

  • Assist in month-end closing: prepare journal entries for sales & expenses, control invoices and perform variance analysis vs various benchmarks.

  • Perform detailed analysis on key SG&A expense items.

  • Identify, suggest, agree and implement improvements in planning tools and methodologies.

  • Identify and highlight exceptions to the forecast on an ongoing basis, providing root cause explanations for key drivers of forecast variance and suggest improvements accordingly.

  • Prepare and publish monthly reporting deck, including P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and commentaries.

  • Consolidate data for PL&CEE region.

  • Ensure that all financial activity is completed in accordance with Abbott policies and procedures as well as local laws and regulations.

Required qualifications:

  • Adequate University Degree (Bachelor, Master).

  • Experience in commercial finance / controlling is a must (minimum 1-2 years).

  • Experience in medical / healthcare business or FMCG industry is a plus.

  • International experience dealing with multiple countries, consolidation, as well as capabilities to interact with people from different cultures is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Can do attitude with strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent system skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in using SAP, TM1 or HFM is a plus.

  • Teamwork spirit, self-starter and reliable in meeting timelines.

  • Fluent in English and Polish, written and spoken.
