UnitedHealth Group Clinical Psychologist, Warrick, RI - Hybrid in Warwick, Rhode Island

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population.

This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs. We seek a full-time and part-time licensed Psychologist for our Warrick, RI location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting moderate to severe social or mental behavior problems

  • Involves patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriate

  • Conducts individual, family or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelines. Option to develop and provide time-limited psycho-educational groups or ongoing therapy groups

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree, PhD or PsyD, in clinical psychology from an APA-approved graduate school

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist for practice in Rhode Island

  • 1+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families

  • Proven ability to commute to the location in-person

  • Hybrid role in Warrick, RI (onsite and remote)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dual licensure in neighboring states

  • Significant experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical setting

  • Knowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventions is highly valued

  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy in both individual and group settings

  • Proven ability to participate in enriching the training experience of our graduate students and postdoctoral fellows

  • Proven ability to represent the practice in community presentations and lectures (if desired)

  • Proven ability to continue to expand your ability to educate and treat a wide range of patients

  • Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues treating different members of a family

  • Proven ability to form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinating care with external providers

  • Proven comfortable completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical setting

  • Proven comfortable working in an outpatient clinical setting

Rhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
