The successful candidate will join the Risk team as Database developer. The main function of this job is for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Risk environment.
Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture.
Developers work closely with business partners in finding errors in critical data and system applications.
Developers typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages and are clearly recognized as a content expert by peers.
Design, develop and implement database systems based on customer requirements.
Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.
Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects.
Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems.
Develop database tables and dictionaries.
Ensure data quality and integrity in databases.
Identify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects.
Perform data back-up and archival on regular basis.
Test databases and perform bug fixes.
Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion.
Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency.
Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
Required Experience / Skills:
Extensive experience on the following areas.
Oracle SQL/PLSQL development
User Requirement Analysis and Database Design.
Application Development and Management using Oracle Database 11g.
Responsible for providing end to end solutions for data extraction, transformation and loading using tools like SQL Loader.
Data warehousing, logical and physical database design, develop & maintain backup processes and reporting frameworks.
Co-coordination and guided installation of software systems.
