•promote a culture of collaboration and engineering excellence at UBS.
•form close partnership with software developers ensuring sustainable / reusable design patterns are baked into our SDLC processes.
•design, implement, and automate processes to defend integrity, security, and auditability of SDLC.
•produce a high quality CI/CD tooling that can be leveraged by other parts of the organization; and ensure appropriate quality gates (QA, Regression, Performance Testing, etc) have been baked into our build / release processes to ensure new systems / services deployed are easily anticipated and instrumented.
•willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas that would remove or reduce manual efforts in relation to releasing software applications in a large production systems at scale.
•willingness to work with a continuously evolving system.
You'll be part of the Evidence Lab Innovations Technology team who are developing cutting edge digital solutions to help internal and external clients make better decisions with data. Within Evidence Lab Innovations Technology, you will be part of a growing team that is focused on blending solutions covering digital marketing, technology, optimization and analytics to drive business results and digital transformation. You'll be working in a global team, with colleagues in the United Kingdom, the United States and India.
•Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
•hands on experience in one or more of the DevOps open source scripting languages: Groovy, Python, Shell Scripting, Kotlin
•good understanding of PaaS infrastructure, preferably PKS, with deep technical expertise around Docker, Kubernetes, & Persistent Volume Class is a must
•good understanding of provisioning/maintaining a CI platform, e.g. Gitlab, Teamcity, Jenkins (preferably JX version)
•excellent understanding of application build tools: npm / maven / gulp / gradle / msbuild
•good understanding of Unit Test frameworks (Junit, pytest, Mocha, Chai) and performance testing tools: e.g. JMeter
•demonstrable experience of infrastructure knowledge •e.g. Operating Systems, VMs, Proxy, Networking (TCP/IP), Storage
•demonstrable experience in developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring, Maven, Oracle/Sybase PL/SQL would be an advantage
•understanding of application deployment and orchestration tools
•strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
•curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a global team
•the go-to person for the latest development innovation
•imaginative and creative with emerging technologies and an ambassador for test and behaviour-driven development
•adaptable, able to work across teams and functions
•a strong communicator
•able to interface with key business and technology stakeholders
