SOUTH VALLEY SERVICES Clinical Counseling Supervisor in WEST JORDAN, Utah

*GENERAL PURPOSE                               *

The main priorities for the Clinical Counseling Supervisor (CCS) is to provide clinical supervision for associate clinicians and interns and to provide oversight and program development and guidance for the Clinical Counseling team. Depending upon the number of hours available per week, the CCS may provide clinical services for clients and co-facilitate trauma-informed training for the SVS program staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ·       Assist with hiring/recruitment of clinical team members. | | | | ·       Provide clinical supervision for associate clinicians and | | interns, complete required documentation, and attend required | | supervisory meetings/trainings. | | | | ·       Manage program development and provide program evaluation | | with Executive Director and Programs Director. | | | | ·       Train staff on topics as needed, including but not limited | | to: crisis intervention; the effects of trauma and trauma recovery; | | professional boundaries; and suicide prevention. | | | | ·       Monitor and complete licensing requirement compliance. | | | | ·       Review clinical files to ensure compliance with licensing | | guidelines.  | | | | ·       Establish goals and monitor program data such as program | | metrics. | | | | ·       Schedule and track program activities to ensure compliance | | with funding requirements. | | | | ·       Debrief staff and clients who experience/witness trauma. | | | | ·       Coordinate staff/office schedules. | | | | ·       Organize and lead weekly staff meetings. | | | |   | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ |   | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Depending on number of hours available, may provide direct clinical services including: complete assessments; provide therapy; maintain records; provide crisis intervention; formulate and enact treatment plans for clients; and maintain and comply with all professional licensing requirements. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

·       Must have current, full licensure (LCSW, CMHC, or MFT) and have a minimum of two years licensed experience.

·       Master's Degree (mental health counseling or social work program)

·       O e-year minimum experience working with trauma survivors, preferably domestic violence or sexual assault.

·       Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing in English.

·       Ability to demonstrate/utilize compassion, empathy, and respect.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

·       Pass and maintain a cleared Direct Access Clearance System background check.

·       Obtain First Aid and CPR Certification within 90 days and recertify every two years.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Experience with telehealth requirements and ethics.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work environment is an office with the majority of time sitting at a desk meeting with staff and clients. 

 

EQUIPMENT USED

·       Operation/use of basic office equipment such as telephone, computer, fax, and copy machine.
