What You Can Expect Working in the Administrative Assistant Position {#isPasted}

As the director of first impressions the Administrative Assistant is a versatile and adaptive individual who welcomes visitors either in person or via the multi-line phone system. The administrative assistant supports other departments with special projects throughout their career, creating opportunities to learn the business as well as experience in other areas of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Acts as the director of first impressions for LANGE; welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Manages multiline phone system and routes incoming phone calls to the appropriate person.
  • Distributes interoffice mail, outgoing mail and local office deliveries.
  • Prepares reports, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Completes a variety of office projects requested by departments or leadership team members.
  • Prepares agendas and makes arrangements, such as coordinating catering for luncheons for meetings and organizing company events.
  • Provides lunch coverage and back up for other administrative locations within LANGE.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years related professional office experience.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher education in business or related field.
  • Experience coordinating large events.
Work Environment
