UBS Financial Services IT Program Manager in Zürich, Switzerland

Your role:

There is an opportunity to join the Asset Management Technology team in Zurich in a programme management capacity. Reporting to the Head of the Regulatory Initiatives Technology team you will play a key role in ensuring the Global Asset Management business remains compliant with regulation. This will involve:

  • Working closely with the business teams to understand the impact of regulation and organisational changes

  • Providing transparency to all stakeholders throughout the programme lifecycle (Status reporting, risk & issues management, financials)

  • Aligning changes to the technology and data strategy

  • Articulating the impact of the regulation to technology team leads, analysts and developers

  • Mobilising the technology programme response to address these impacts, including estimating costs and plans

  • Working through a matrix to deliver the changes required across the full Asset Management technology platform all the way to go live

  • Managing the programme to budget and adherence to programme delivery frameworks/controls

Your team:

You will be working in the Asset Management IT team in Zurich, which consists of a small team of analysts, developers and project managers. The wider team is based in the UK, US and India. Projects typically span geographical locations.

Your expertise:

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a project manager role in the fields of Information Technology and Financial Institutions (preferably Asset Management), typically running projects in the range of CHF1-2m.

  • An understanding of the challenges to running successful projects in financial services

  • PMP or any other project management certification is optional but positive

  • Microsoft Project and Office Applications, especially Excel & PowerPoint.

You are:

  • a strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels and locations

  • an expert at building networks and connections

  • known for hitting deadlines and staying within budget

  • fluent in English & German, verbal and in writing
